Prepare, execute and monitor assigned programs, accounts and/or funds within the City's operating budget including the preparation of needs, costs and performance assessments; administer and control assigned department budget functions and review expenditures and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. This is the full journey level class within the Executive Budget Analyst series. Employees within this class are distinguished from the Executive Budget Analyst I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned including administering, monitoring and controlling assigned department budget functions. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in economics, accounting, public administration, business administration or a related field plus six (6) years professional experience in budget analysis, accounting, finance or any combination of this experience. Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
