Oversee, supervise and monitor assigned Public Works and Capital Improvement Projects; plan, direct, manage and oversee engineering activities and operations of the Municipal Development Department; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director of Municipal Development.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or related field, plus nine (9) years professional or managerial experience in the area of Public Works/Infrastructure or Capital Improvement Projects (CIP), or professional or managerial level engineering experience to include six (6) years of direct supervisory experience in a management and/or administrative capacity. Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Possession of a City Operators Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire. Possession of an active Professional Engineer (PE) license issued by the State of New Mexico.

Oversee, supervise and monitor the coordination, scheduling and budgeting of assigned Public Works and Capital Improvement project activities
Apply engineering principles and techniques to the solution of problems that may arise during the design, scheduling, budgeting, and construction/ renovation phases of assigned Public Works and Capital Improvement projects
Prepare a variety of clear and concise analytical reports
Oversee, supervise and monitor the coordination, scheduling and budgeting of new public works, infrastructure, and capital projects
