Assist in the maintenance of airport jet bridges and baggage delivery systems; assist in the installation, maintenance, modification and repair of high and low voltage single and multi-phase lighting systems and components; and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area responsibility.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours vocational training in electronic or electrical systems installation, maintenance, and/or repair, or related field, plus one (1) year electronic or electrical systems installation, maintenance and/or repair experience. Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License.
Position requires: Background check, Fingerprint clearance, Shift work, Odd days off.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
Basic electrical theories and applications
Use and operation of a variety of electronic testing and repair equipment
Principles and practices of preventive maintenance associated with electrical systems
Pertinent Federal, State and local codes, laws and regulations
Learn to independently perform a variety of maintenance and repair activities on assigned electrical systems
Assist in the maintenance of airport jet bridges and baggage delivery systems
Participate in the maintenance of lighting control systems
Utilize a variety of electrical testing and repair equipment
