Assist in the implementation of various Senior Affairs programs; provide assistance and information to senior citizens; provide transportation services for frail, elderly or restricted seniors; perform record keeping, cash handling, and receptionist duties for Senior Affairs programs and perform related tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. This is the full journey level class within the Senior Affairs Program Assistant series. Employees within this class are distinguished from the Senior Affairs Program Assistant I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. This class is distinguished from the Senior Affairs Program Assistant III in that the latter performs the most difficult and responsible types of duties assigned to classes within this series.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED plus one (1) year senior services or customer service experience. Related education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License.
This is a part-time, permanent position. Position requires: Background check, TB Test.

Methods and techniques working with senior program participants
