Scope
Applies to all City information technology purchases.
Standard
The following categories (and components thereof) are considered Information Technology Commodities for procurement purposes:
  • Desktop computers
  • Laptop computers
  • Standalone printers
  • Network multi-function devices (e.g., printers, scanners)
  • Servers (replacements or upgrades)
  • Enterprise system software
  • Networking equipment (e.g., routers, switches, management and access control devices) and software
  • Desktop software
  • Digital cameras and projectors
  • Global Positioning System ("GPS") devices
  • Physical security equipment and software
  • Public Safety digital logging recorders
  • Public Safety mobile and portable radios, 800MHz
  • Imaging system document scanning devices

All equipment must meet applicable City standards.
