Scope
| Applies to all City wireless personal information manager/personal digital assistant (PIM/PDA) and smartphone device purchases. |
Standard
| The following devices are approved:
- Research In Motion (RIM) Blackberry models provided through City-approved cellular telephone service providers.
- Motorola Moto Q models provided through City-approved cellular telephone service providers (using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync only; desktop-based synchronization not supported).

Rationale | Reduces total cost of ownership (TCO) by leveraging existing City investments in infrastructure.
