Scope
This policy ensures a professional City of Albuquerque web presence that meets current conventions in government website management.
Policy
The City of Albuquerque will, where possible, standardize Website publishing tools and/or programming languages.
Rationale
Standardization allows for:
-reduced costs
-a common environment for training
-guidance for vendors/departments
-greater assurance of long-term maintenance & success
-a more focused long-term strategy for the City

There will be times when an off-the-shelf software product deviates from this policy. These projects will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
