Policy | The City of Albuquerque is the owner of all e-mail addresses in its registered domains. All e-mail messages processed by the City's e-mail servers become the property of the City of Albuquerque. City of Albuquerque e-mail users have no right of ownership or expectation of personal privacy in their e-mail usage.
The City of Albuquerque reserves the right, without notice, to inspect, modify, return, reject, redirect or discard any e-mail message it receives for any reason including, but not limited to, content which the City deems as:
- unsolicited, regardless of any prior subscription request by or on behalf of any City e-mail user, and regardless of any "opt-in", "opt-out", or other subscription policies the mailer may advertise;
- inappropriate, objectionable, harassing, deceptive, or otherwise prohibited by the City's policies or standards;
- intended to circumvent any information security policies or technical measures the City may have in place; or
- unrelated to the conduct of the official business of the City.
The City may employ policies, standards, and procedures to limit the amount of unsolicited or bulk e-mail processed by the City. The City will make reasonable efforts to ensure that legitimate e-mail messages are not refused. |
